Welcome to the website of the Methodist Church in Stourport. Please feel free to browse this site and hopefully find all the information you require.

We pray as we come together in worship, praise and song we may be able to increase our awareness of God's presence in our lives.

As Methodists we are called to:

WORSHIP within the local church, including regular sharing in Holy Communion, and through personal prayer.

LEARNING and CARING, through Bible study and meeting for fellowship, so that we may grow in faith and support others in their discipleship.

SERVICE, by being a good neighbour in the community, challenging injustice and using our resources to support the Church in its mission in the world.

EVANGELISM, through working out our faith in daily life and sharing Christ with others.

Services are every Sunday at 10.30am.

Please come and join us for worship at Stourport Wesley and stay after the service  for chat and fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee.

All are welcome

Ladies Fellowship

Fellowship runs every other week on a tuesday afternoon at 2.15pm. It meets in the Oasis Coffee Bar. The fellowship is well supported but is always happy to welcome new members. There is a varied programme of events organised each time which could include guest speakers and social activities. Coffee and tea is served where there is a great opportunity for chat and friendship.

Bible Study

The study group meets once a month on Tuesday morning in the church. It is a chance to go that little bit deeper into our understanding of the bible. Discussion within a group dynamic with a well planned and structured programme, brings about a lively and interesting session where the truth of God's word is revealed.

Mid-week Communion

Held once a month at 12am on a Tuesday. A service in the round led by the Minister at which, all are free to receive.

God & Marmalade

A monthly study group held on a Saturday at 8.30am in the Schoolroom. Get up nice and early and come down and share breakfast (cereal, porridge, toast, marmalade, bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee). Then at 9.00am shared fellowship, based around bible study on a relevant topic of the day.

Sing and Tea

Once a quarter at 4.00pm on a Sunday in the Church. A time of worship and fellowship where we sing new songs and hymns that may be used in future acts of worship. After which we share a faith tea. All are welcome to join us.
